Ingredients

  • 500 gr Hazelnuts
  • 500 GR Chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup canola oil or coconut oil You are free to choose the type of oils.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts evenly on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the skins begin to crack. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Allow the roasted hazelnuts to cool slightly. Rub the hazelnuts between your hands or use a clean kitchen towel to remove the loose skins. It's okay if some skins remain.
  • In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips using a double boiler or by microwaving in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  • Place the roasted hazelnuts in a food processor or high-powered blender. Blend until the hazelnuts turn into a smooth and creamy hazelnut butter. This process may take a few minutes.
  • Gradually add the canola oil or coconut oil to the hazelnut butter while continuing to blend. This helps achieve a smoother consistency.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into the hazelnut butter and continue blending until well combined. Ensure the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • If the Nutella is too thick, you can add a bit more oil and blend until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Spoon the homemade Nutella into a clean, airtight jar or container.
  • Allow the Nutella to cool to room temperature before sealing the jar. Once cooled, store it in the refrigerator.
  • Use your homemade Nutella as a delicious spread on bread, toast, or as an ingredient in various recipes.
  • Enjoy your homemade Nutella!
